The Virginia Poverty Law Center will present a webinar on June 27th at 2pm EST to discuss important changes to work requirements that are coming to
both the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) in Virginia. These changes are due to the
recent federal debt ceiling agreement and the end of policies that were put in
place at the start of the COVID-19 public health emergency. The webinar will review these
changes and discuss the risk of approximately 19,000 older adult Virginians
losing critical food assistance because of an expansion of the SNAP
work-reporting requirement.
