Community Action Month: Impact Wednesday

Virginia's Community Action Agencies across Virginia are making a real difference in their communities. The 31 organizations/agencies serving in every corner of the Commonwealth are helping families become stronger and more self sufficient through a vast array of programs.

Last year, these agencies supported more than 45,000 families and nearly 222,000 individuals.
Provided safe, affordable housing to more nearly 5,300 individuals
Community Action Agencies operated utilizing more than 3,200 partnerships across the state
Helped more than 2,500 children improve their literacy skills
Assisted nearly 1,400 individuals in finding full-time employment

Who we are

The Virginia Community Action Partnership and the Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity works together to provide all Virginia Community Action Agencies with the training and technical assistance needed to be successful. We aim to provide training for all levels of staff at an agency and board members.
