Virginia Community Action Agency Featured in National Video

Appalachian Community Action (AppCAA) was recently picked as the only community action agency in the nation to be featured in an informational video about the Diaper Distribution Pilot Program. Staff spent two days filming for the video which is expected to be released in November. The video will show how AppCAA’s program offers free diapers for up to two years and provides participants with wrap-around Whole Family Services. This Diaper Distribution Pilot program is funded through a grant to the Virginia Community Action Partnership by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service Office of Community Service, an office of the Administration for Children and Families. Keep an eye out for the video this fall!

The Virginia Community Action Partnership and the Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity works together to provide all Virginia Community Action Agencies with the training and technical assistance needed to be successful. We aim to provide training for all levels of staff at an agency and board members.
