Register for the New Virginia Volunteer Hub

Serve Virginia, the state's lead agency for volunteerism, has launched the Serve Virginia Volunteer Hub (SVVH) - a free statewide platform built to connect organizations with volunteers across the Commonwealth. This FREE tool can help the individuals you serve find volunteer opportunities and help your organization recruit and manage volunteers. Here is what it can do for your organization:

  • Post volunteer opportunities so individuals across Virginia can find and sign up for them directly
  • Track and verify volunteer hours in one place
  • Share your agency profile, individual needs, and events via a custom link you can use in emails, newsletters, and social media.

If you already post opportunities with your local volunteer center, those listings will be automatically integrated later this summer—so you won’t need to re-post them, and you’ll still get maximum visibility.

Thousands of Virginians are affected by new SNAP and Medicaid eligibility requirements under HR1. Because community engagement and volunteer hours can help individuals meet these requirements, making service opportunities accessible is more important than ever. The Serve Virginia Volunteer Hub plays a key role in tracking and verifying volunteer hours and could be a valuable resource for the people you support.

You can register your agency for the platform here: https://hub.servevirginia.org/agency/signup/

Serve Virginia is holding free webinars this summer to walk agencies through the platform, including how SVVH supports individuals navigating updated SNAP and Medicaid work-requirement rules. These webinars will also cover agency registration, posting opportunities, hour tracking, and general platform use. Register for the webinars here:
