About Violet

Violet serves as CSBG Fiscal Officer for the Office on Volunteerism and Community Service at the Virginia Department of Social Services. In this position Violet works with the Finance Directors of Virginia’s Community Action Agencies to ensure CSBG/TANF expenditure guidelines are adhered to and track CSBG/TANF funding allocated to the agencies.

Violet previously served as Housing Program Administrator for Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) Homeless and Special Needs Housing unit where she administered the Livable Home Tax Credit program and was responsible for tracking allocation and disbursement of state and federal funds as well as meeting reporting requirements for the homeless and homeless prevention programs. Violet has also served as Program Analyst for DHCD’s Indoor Plumbing Rehabilitation Loan program.

The Virginia Community Action Partnership and the Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity works together to provide all Virginia Community Action Agencies with the training and technical assistance needed to be successful. We aim to provide training for all levels of staff at an agency and board members.
